- Me: I was quite proud of the MSO’s performance of Les Éolides last Sunday. That was a very difficult piece to put together.
- Robert: It would have been much easier if the music hadn’t been such a mess. Why can’t the French publish anything legible?
- Me: I don’t know. Is that really a thing? What about Hansel and Gretel? Was it that much better?
- Robert: Judging by the publishing quality of music during the Romantic Era, it’s no wonder the French were overrun twice by the Germans before 1945.
